Gower Silver Bass Comp 2025

 

The Gower Hueys present an exciting fishing competition, supported by some cool brands and local Gower businesses. Enter and fish for the months of June, July and August catch the biggest Bass to win an awesome prize package!

  • The Gower Silver Bass Comp is a lure / bait fishing competition held during the months of June, July & August on Gower.

    The winners will be decided by the overall length of the biggest Bass caught.

  • The winner of the shore category will win a :

    Yeti Tundra Cooler

    The winner of the boat category will win a:

    Yeti Go Box

    More prizes will be announced throughout the comp.

  • The Gower Silver Bass Competition runs from June 1st to August 31st. Anglers can sign up and start submitting their catch reports from June 1st.

  • Entrants will need to upload a photo as proof of their catch on the day of catching the fish, to their Instagram account, tagging @thegowerhueys in addition to emailing the picture to info@thegowerhueys.com

  • No, you can submit as many catch reports as you wish throughout the day, for the duration of the competition, the catch report that’s the largest will be the one that is counted.

  • You can enter the Gower Silver Bass Comp by clicking the “Enter” button at the top of the page.

    Select either the boat or shore category. There is also an option to enter both categories.

    The Gower Silver Bass Comp can be entered anytime before August 31st.

  • Entry to the Gower Silver Bass comp will be £25 per entry for a single category or £35 for both, this covers you for the whole 3 months. Entry fees will contribute to the prize packages in addition to donations to 2 charities - The Horton RNLI & Jac Lewis Foundation.

  • You may fish anywhere in the Gower Peninsula, boat or shore. All local and national bye laws must be followed.

    Catch report pictures must have entry card, measurement tape and GeoTag enabled in order to be eligible for entry.
